Grant Park Music Festival 2024
In August 2024, the Gumpoldskirchner Spatzen want to travel to the USA and perform in Chicago at the Grant Park Music Festival. The Lower Austrian children's choir was invited by the artistic director of the festival and we don't want to miss this great opportunity to sing in front of thousands of spectators.
For nearly 90 years, the Grant Park Music Festival has been Chicago's summer musical sensation, proving that classical music can have a transformative impact on the city. The festival takes place in the city's most spectacular setting, the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, the official home of the Grant Park Music Festival. In addition to the Grant Park Festival, the Spatzen will also perform at Classical Music Chicago's “Rush hour concerts”.
Support the Gumpoldskirchner Spatzen
A choir trip to the USA is, above all, a major financial challenge that cannot be met with the Sparrows' regular annual budget. Flights for 40 choir children and accompanying persons must be booked; safe accommodation and meals are needed for the children on site.
That's why we need support
- either in the form of a ONE-TIME DONATION or
- an INDIVIDUAL SPONSORING COOPERATION with companies and institutions that promote the talent of children and young people or promote cultural initiatives, or that would like to send the Gumpoldskirchner Spatzen to the world as small, charming ambassadors of Austria.
